To the best of our knowledge, we have secured this website and all our electronic processing means to adequate standards for encryption and protection of your data. In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the information we collect during the booking procedure is intended only for the purpose of handling your booking and contacting you regarding your booking as well as organising the advertisement of IVFDF (sending flyers and posters, on demand, processing performer's payments, etc.). Your data will not be passed onto any external party and will not be used for any other means. At the end of the event, your data will be discarded safely in reasonable delays.
Ticket Selling Terms & Conditions
The IVFDF2012 committee control the Event and set prices. We sometimes charge booking and relevant postage fees. We do not accept any other liability for any ticket purchases made via this Site unless specified hereby.
- Tickets are subject to the terms and conditions set by
the IVFDF2012 committee.
- Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
- Lost, stolen or damaged tickets may only be replaced at our discretion.
- It is your responsibility to inform us of any change of email address before arrival at the festival in order to get updates. Tickets must be checked upon receipt as mistakes cannot always be rectified later.
- IVFDF2012 tickets are E-tickets and are considered as delivered to you once you have completed the booking process on line or when the email/mail confirmation has been sent, in the case of a paper booking.
- We do not offer refunds to any ticket-holder who is refused entry and we will not be liable to you for any loss of enjoyment or profit nor any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages.
- We will not be liable for any misrepresentations, negligence, contractual or tortuous loss of any kind suffered by you from the products, or services, or actions of any venue, performer, promoter, ferry operator or others.
- In the event of the cancellation by the promoter, we will only refund the face value of the ticket, in the extent practicable, and cannot be held responsible for any travel or other costs incurred. To be clear, the face value of all tickets is the price paid for the ticket itself, less camping, any booking fees and postage incurred. The IVFDF2012 committee will use its best endeavours to contact purchasers either by phone, or email and advise them of the cancellation. It remains the customer’s responsibility to check whether the event is going ahead at the scheduled date, time and venue, and
the IVFDF2012 committee cannot guarantee that they will inform the customer of any changes to the event date, time or venue.
- In the event the venue or festival dates are changed then refunds at face value of the tickets as specified above are at our discretion. We do reserve the right to alter or change the festival programme, without prior notification and refunds will not be issued should the programme be altered or if a particular artist does not appear, including headline acts.
- Please ensure you read this information thoroughly and that you are of an eligible age to buy the correct tickets and present matching ID or you may be refused entry to the festival.
- Indoor camping tickets are available for weekend tickets holder, booked at the same time as the camping ticket. They are in limited availability. Electricity outlets will not be available.
- All online ticket booking incur a booking fee.
- Tickets may not be purchased by anyone under the age of 18 years as under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian adult.
- You may be asked for ID when you present your E-Ticket at the festival desks to get your wristbands. Please ensure that the name on the ID matches that with which you bought the tickets. In the case where one person paid for multiple tickets, this person will be responsible for getting the wristbands to the correct person. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person holding E-tickets whose identity cannot be matched with our ticket sales records.
- Adult Tickets are for anyone aged 18 or over on the opening day of the festival. Ticket holders under 18 must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent or guardian.
- No admission will be allowed to person under the age of 18 on the opening day of the event unless they are accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian adult who also undertakes to ensure that the under 18s in their charge are not taking risks when separated from them and are accompanied throughout the event. Indoor camping is not available to under 18s, even when accompanied by a guardian unless a written authorisation has been previously granted. Even with such authorisation, the guardian adult keeps the entire responsibility towards the minor's actions, safety and well-being.
- The age of children may be checked by an ID request, so please come prepared with ID for them or you risk not being allowed to enter the event site at all at no cost or liability to IVFDF2012.
Please ensure you have read this information and our Terms and Conditions thoroughly and that you have bought the correct tickets or you may be refused entry to the festival. When you buy any ticket you are considered to have accepted our terms and to have understood them.
IVFDF2012 Admission Rules
- Right of admission is reserved.
- IVFDF2012 is for responsible people and is about having a good time. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be ejected without refund if you are so behaving.
- No admission without a valid wristband (so don’t lose it)
- ID and ticket purchaser must match. You will be asked for ID as proof of age as well as a justification for any eventual discount (student ID).
- All tickets cannot be re-sold.
- No box office entry to non-wristbanded persons to any the site.
- All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian at point of admission and as much as reasonably practical throughout the event.
- Ticket holders give their express consent to the use of video footage and photos in which they my appear in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising, souvenir of any film, video and/or audio recording of this event.
- Alcohol is tolerated but in case of excess, we reserve the right to treat the event as an anti-social behaviour. No alcohol is to be consumed in the indoor camping sites and no alcohol is to be brought in the licenced premises.
- Because of the building regulations our hosts, no pet animals are allowed on the festival site other than dogs assisting the visually impaired.
- The promoter reserves the right to change the line up without notification.
- The promoter will not be held liable for accidents, loss or damage through your own negligence or the behaviour of other festival goers. If you are worried about someone, please do inform security or Police on site so that we can all sleep without worrying.
- Please do not throw litter on the ground – THINK and put rubbish in the many recycling bins provided for the purpose, even if you have to carry it a little bit further than where you are standing!
- Please look after your own ‘valuables’ as we are not responsible for them.
- Please respect residents and properties in the adjacent areas and think about others as well as enjoying yourselves.
That all being said -you must have lots of fun, it is a folk dance festival after all !!

Law, Jurisdiction and language
This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland. All contracts are concluded in English.
Invalidity
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Third party rights
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to, nor shall it confer any rights on a third party.
