Lead by Rosie Crabb-Wkye
The old classic IVFDF Morris tour is a great way to get yourself a guided tour of all of the best Aberdonian drinking haunts with some dancing thrown in there for good measure. This year the tour will be in the capable and experienced hands of our very own Rosie Crabb-Wyke (probably accompanied by Dalek Gerald).
- Firstly, let us know you're up for it. Sign up at IVFDF reception upon arrival on Friday. That way we won't miss you out or go without you or anything embarrassing like that.
- Secondly, meet outside the Butchart main entrance at 10:30 on Saturday morning wearing your best beard. We'll move en mass across to the bus stop and take a local bus (£2 single, no change, I'm afraid) to the city centre to commence the tour. From here on in, Rosie is the one with the plan.
Put briefly, the tour will look a bit like this. Subject to change with no obvious reason.
- 11:00 start, roughly.
- Dancing outside the St Nicolas Centre, Prince of Wales pub
- Dancing at the Castlegate, Blackfriars pub
- Dancing at the Green, Old King's Highway pub
- Dancing on Belmont St, Ma Cameron's pub
- Dancing in Union Terrace Gardens, Monkey House pub
- Finish at roughly 16:00. Lunch somewhere in between.
Why yes you can. The first "stop" on the tour is the Prince of Wales pub on St Nicholas Lane opposite M&S. You should be able to catch up with the tour there sometime between 10:45 and 11:00. Good luck.
