Will Pound Ceilidh Band
Harmonica virtuoso Will Pound, a nominee for ‘Musician of the Year’ in the 2015 BBC R2 Folk Awards, leads an all-star line-up consisting of beat-boxing, double-bass playing John Parker from Nizlopi, guitarist Chris Sarjeant (Jackie Oates Band) and 2013 London Fiddle Champion Henry Webster.
Will Pound is one of the world’s top harmonica players and has taken the instrument to new places and new music with a style completely his own. He creates sounds not usually heard on this little instrument in styles varying from bluegrass, folk, jazz and Arabic to blues, rock, pop and funk.
Lisa Heywood is a dynamic folk dance caller based in Bristol, and in circles outside of IVFDF she still qualifies for the adjective "young". She learned to call in the wild dancehalls of the Sheffield University Ceilidhsoc, and likes to mix things up on the dance-floor, calling ceilidh classics alongside more unusual dances and some of her own writing.
