Finding the Festival

From Waverley Station/Princes Street

On foot
Head for the east end of Princes Street (coming out of the station, turn right at the top of Waverley Steps). Turn right onto North Bridge, and follow it until it becomes Nicolson Street. Turn right through Nicolson Square (just after the Festival Theatre) and walk down Marshall Street, across Potterrow and past the building site. Teviot (and reception) will be ahead to your left.

By bus
From the south side of Princes Street (the side with all the shops, opposite the station), take a bus (�1 flat fare) going to the Bridges (numbers 3, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 47 and 49). When you see the Festival Theatre (a big glass building) on your right, get off the bus and cross the road. Walk through Nicolson Square and down Marshall Street, across Potterrow and past the building site. Teviot (and reception) will be ahead to your left.

From the bus station

From the main entrance of the bus station, turn left onto St Andrew Square and follow South St Andrew Street, which will bring you out on Princes Street opposite Waverley Station. From there, follow the directions above.

From the airport

The number 100 airport bus (�3.50 single, �5 return) goes to Princes Street and Waverley Bridge (beside the station). From there, follow the directions above.

Getting to Edinburgh

By Bus

National Express run bus services to Edinburgh from towns throughout Britain, as do Megabus from a more limited set of locations.
Within Scotland, services are run by Scottish Citylink.
Bus services within Edinburgh are mainly run by Lothian Buses .

By Train

GNER, Virgin and First Scotrail all run services to Edinburgh Waverley station from locations across Britain.

By Plane

A number of airlines run flights to Edinburgh Airport, which is about 8 miles to the west of the city. From there the number 100 airport bus runs every 10 minutes to the centre of town, or taxis are available.
