Rapper Crawls

If you're coming to IVFDF with a rapper team you might be interested in doing a crawl around some of Durham's great pubs. A list of pubs that have been danced in by the Durham University Rapper Team (and others) follows. All have wooden floors unless otherwise stated.

The Woodman (Claypath)

The Big Jug (Claypath)

The Castle (Claypath) - Not been danced in since the management changed earlier this year.

The Market Tavern (Market Square) - Will be busy around lunch time.

The Angel (Crossgate) - Rock music pub, but good reception when a dance goes well.

The Elm Tree (Crossgate) - A folk-friendly pub which holds regular sessions. Carpet floor.

The Fighting Cocks (Crossgate)

The Bridge (North Road) - Carpet floor.

The Shakespeare (Saddler Street) - Several small rooms.

The Half Moon Inn (New Elvet)

The City (New Elvet)

The Dun Cow (Old Elvet) - A folk-friendly pub which is open to IVFDF attendees turning up and starting sessions during the weekend. Two small rooms. Carpet floor.

The New Inn (Church Street) - Scream pub which is popular with students but the manager doesn't always give permission to dance.

The Court Inn (Court Lane) - Will have an IVFDF session from 2pm on Saturday and will have a Morris Tour Spot outside from 12 til 5 on Saturday. Carpet floor.

The Victoria (Hallgarth Street) - Open late and a good selection of whiskeys making it a good pub to end a crawl in.
